Holiday Gift Guide 2022

It’s here! Our favorite gifts for all our friends - runners & non-runners alike.

Caity

A gift card to The Endurance Collective for a massage. I work with Caitlin and she is wonderful, but you can't go wrong with any of the EC crew for your body work needs.

Ettitude Sleep Mask + Set of Ear Plugs. I struggle mightily with getting quality sleep, in part because my partner is on a wildly different sleep schedule. I recently started sleeping with a sleep mask and sometimes ear plugs, and that's gone a long way in helping me recharge the batteries. This sleep mask also got onto "best of" lists for lower environmental impact. I get ear plugs from CVS! Both would make for a great stocking stuffer idea.

Strava Annual Subscription ($60/year): Strava is a forum for runners (and cyclists, hikers, skiers...you name the sport!) to find community and engage in healthy competition. The premium subscription allows you to map out or discover routes, track your training and training metrics, weather tracking, race analysis, etc. I am a subscriber and find the benefits to be well worth the price. Strava has helped me stay connected with the running community here in Raleigh and with athlete friends from previous stages of my life.

Hydrapak SkyFlask: Used this for the first 10k of my last marathon! I found this handheld water flask easy to carry, ultralight, and easy to sip. This is great for distance training run too - you won’t even remember you’re holding it.

Gabi

Black Diamond headlamp: so you can stop relying on that one teammate (Nikki) who always comes prepared even when no one else does. Wide range of price/quality available at REI

Chemex coffee maker: coffee is a non-negotiable for me when I'm training (and let's be honest, also when I'm not). I finally splurged on a Chemex last year after admiring it for years, and I have no regrets. The coffee lover in your life will LOVE this gift.

The Ordinary exfoliating peel: skin can take a beating with 1-2 daily runs/workouts. I swear by this exfoliating peel 1-2 times a week. At under $7 a pop, this gift can't be beat!

EltaMD UV Clear Broad-Spectrum Sunscreen: We spend so much time outdoors and it’s important to protect our skin from UV damage. I apply sunscreen before every run, even if I’m starting in the dark before sunrise. Elta MD sunscreen stays put when I sweat on hot summer mornings and moisturizes on chilly winter days. It’s a staple!

Sidekick Tool: In between massage and PT appointments I keep my muscles happy with my Sidekick tool. It helps release tension in my muscles and fascia. I love to use it on my hamstrings and hips to loosen up before and after a run.

Tavyn

K9 Excursion Running Belt: run with your best friend & give them the exercise they want and NEED.

Lucky Tree Gift Card: Lucky Tree, Raleigh's BEST coffee shop, supports over 50 local artists in the triangle area by placing their artwork in the space. With wheat-free, homemade food options, organic coffee beans, and great music, Lucky Tree is the best spot to hang out with a book and a cup of their Bullet Coffee.

Nikki

All the Wags Gift Box: Alright, so I might be biased because my overly spoiled pup's name is Oliver, but any gift for one's pet is a gift for them. Plus, the nut butter can be shared with a furry friend!

Tracksmith Terry Tee: This is the perfect shirt to change into after those sweaty workouts we get to endure most of the year!
