Must Love Dogs

One of the qualifications of the team is that you must love dogs to be a member of RDP. Almost everyone on the team has 1 (or 2) dog(s) and it’s an adventure when we get them together. We took some time to compile a list of our dogs including some fun facts!

Carrot

Owner: Amy

Favorite Distance: 4 miles in Umstead

Favorite post-run snack: apples, popcorn, and cleaning the last bit of nut butter from my Big Spoon Roasters jars.

Amy & Carrot on their favorite route in Umstead!

Phoenix

Owner: Shae

Favorite distance: 3 miles. Not too far, not too close. Average pace ~8 minute miles. Loves to stop and pee.

Favorite post run snack: Big Spoon Roasters Wag Butter of course! She also loves carrots, pumpkin, and apples. She will basically eat anything I give her (even broccoli).

Gus enjoying the cool grass.

Gus

Owner: Emma

Favorite Distance: 5k! Like the rest of us, he goes out strong the first mile and then settles into his pace.

Favorite post-run snack: Lots of water and some apple slices.

Lou Dog

Owner: Tavyn

Favorite distance: 5-8 miles.

Favorite post run snack: Kibble or carrots smeared with BSR Pumpkin Spice Wag Butter.

Oliver

Owner: Nikki

Favorite distance: He’s good for a solid hour run! And however many miles he covers chasing and being chased at the dog park.

Favorite post run snack: He will eat anything. He loves Big Spoon Roasters Wag Butter - he knows the sound of opening a jar of nut butter & will come running downstairs from a nap to get a treat!

Oliver getting a tongue-ful straight out of the jar.

Folly & Sullivan (Sully)

Owner: Kimberly

Favorite distance: When the temps are cool - Folly: 4-5 miles; Sully: 7-8 miles; warm temps they go 2-3 (miles per day).

Favorite post run snack: Always peanut butter or dentastix! They love all Big Spoon Roaster’s Wag Butter flavors. I like them because they don’t have added sugar and have good ingredients for pups.
